Released on March 12, 2001, this is the 12th coin released in the 50 State Quarters Program and the second released in 2001. North Carolina, admitted into the Union on November 21, 1789, themed the coin, First Flight. It highlights the first flight that took place in Kill Devil Hills, N.C.

*Disclaimer* Some people may have a reaction with the copper in this ring, turning their finger green. Applying clear fingernail polish to the inside of your ring helps prevent this. Over time and with wear more clear fingernail polish should be applied for best results.
